About Branch

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is a statutory body established on 1st July 1949 under the Act of Parliament. The Institute is a regulatory body governing, developing and widening the scope of accounting profession in India.

ICAI has achieved recognition as a premier accounting body globally for its contribution in the fields of education, professional development, maintenance of high accounting, auditing and ethical standards.

ICAI has its headquarter at New Delhi with 5 Regional Offices at Mumbai, Chennai, Kanpur, Kolkata and New Delhi and More than 120 Branches spread all over the country.

It is a matter of pride that the J&K Branch is a part of NIRC of the ICAI. The branch was established in the year 1987-88 and CA. K.B Sharma and CA. N.K Kapahi were the 1st Chairman and Secretary of the branch respectively.
